Synopsis
Kampfgruppe Peiper formed the spearhead of the German drive on the Meuse during the Ardennes Offensive in December 1944 and fought one of the most famous actions of the Second World War. Its story is told, day-by-day, using contemporary accounts. A wealth of maps and contemporary and modern photographs allow the reader to follow the course of the action, and a full battlefield tour is provided.

À propos de l'auteur
David Cooke is a military historian, author and battlefield guide. His previous publications include The Forgotten Battle: The Battle of Adwalton Moor, Seven Feet of Earth: The Battle of Stamford Bridge and The Civil War in Yorkshire: Newcastle versus Fairfax. Wayne Evans has made a close study of the Battle of the Bulge and has often visited the Ardennes to see the terrain over which the battle was fought.
