Synopsis
A delightful story for young readers from former Children's Laureate and author of the international phenomenon War Horse. At first Peter isn't too keen on his teacher's plan to dig a vegetable garden to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. Then he starts to dig up some interesting things - a huge worm, a big beetle, bits of china ... and what looks like a giant cucumber but turns out to be something a lot more exciting!

À propos de l?auteur
Michael Morpurgo was 2003-2005 Children's Laureate, has written over 100 books and is the winner of many awards, including the Whitbread Children's Book Award, the Smarties Book Prize, the Blue Peter Award and the Red House Children's Book Award. His books are translated and read around the world and his hugely popular novel War Horse is now both a critically acclaimed stage play and a highly successful film. Tor Freeman received a degree in Illustration from Kingston University in 1999 and went on to become a freelance illustrator. Her first picture book was Pet Wash by Dayle Ann Dodds and she has since written and illustrated her own books, Rah! and Hooray, I'm Five Today! She lives in London, W6.
