Synopsis

Terry Wogan is Britain's best-loved broadcaster. Having hosted a string of 1960s television quiz shows before moving to BBC radio 1 and 2 in the 1970s, Terry has weaved a career in entertainment as varied as it is brilliant. His TV credits include Miss World, Lunchtime with Wogan, Celebrity Squares, Aunties Bloomers, the unforgettable Wogan Chat Show, and Points of View, and at present, his Breakfast Show on Radio 2 is the most popular in Britain. Countless industry awards, an OBE, and a knighthood from the queen have confirmed Terry as a household name. This remarkable biography traces the life of Britain's favorite personality, from his humble roots in Ireland, through his days in banking to the witty, sardonic Wogan we all love--a fitting portrait of a national treasure.
