Laurence Valentine Lloyd - better known as Larry - was one of the toughest, most uncompromising players of the 1970s. His strength and battle-hardened nature saw this defender win league titles and European cups throughout an illustrious career. He was with Liverpool when they stormed to a League and UEFA Cup double in 1973 and was part of Nottingham Forest's late 1970s infamous Brick Wall defence. Forest secured a host of trophies, including a league title, League Cups and back-to-back European Cups. He moved into management and then became a fearlessly outspoken pundit on the Nottingham airwaves, where his is still loved by the Forest faithful. Now he tells all about his tough childhood and the impact of the Heysel anf Hillsborough disasters.
