This is the third book in the 'Understanding the Moving Image' series. Like other books in the series, it aims to provide a strong critical and theoretical base for the study of the media. Wendy Helsby is an experienced teacher and author. She teaches Media Studies and Film Studies AS and A level at Sixth Form college and for the Open University. She has been an examiner for Media and Film Studies and had led inset courses for teachers and for GCSE students. She is on the BFI Secondary Teachers Advisory Panel.
