À propos des auteurs

Chris Emery is the author of five poetry collections, including Modern Fog and, most recently, Wonder. He is the Director of Salt and a leading figure in independent publishing. His poetry is celebrated for its musicality and forensic eye, often dwelling on the sacred landscapes and history of North Norfolk. Widely anthologised, his work explores the beauty of the mundane and the dreamscape. He lives and works in Cromer.

Jen Hamilton-Emery is Salt's Managing Director, but like everyone else in the business, she has a finger in almost every pie. She has been with Salt since its start 14 years ago and she struggles to think of a better line of work: nothing quite beats the thrill of discovering a must-publish manuscript or being one of the first to see our new books fresh from the printer's.

Claire Askew’s poetry has appeared in numerous publications, including The Guardian, Poetry Scotland, The Edinburgh Review and PANK. She has been twice shortlisted for an Eric Gregory Award (2010, 2012), and in 2012 won a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award. She is about to graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD in Creative Writing. She teaches creative writing at bookwormtutors.co.uk and blogs at onenightstanzas.com

Jenna Butler is the author of three books of poetry, Seldom Seen Road (NeWest Press, 2013), Wells (University of Alberta Press, 2012), and Aphelion (NeWest Press, 2010), in addition to ten short collections with small presses in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Butler teaches at Grant MacEwan University in Alberta, Canada during the school year. In the summer, she and her husband live with three resident moose and a den of coyotes on an organic farm in northern Alberta.

Joanna Campbell’s stories are published in The New Writer, Writers’ Forum, The Yellow Room and anthologies published by Cinnamon Press, Earlyworks Press, Unbound Press and Biscuit Publishing. Shortlisted three times for the Bridport Prize and twice for Fish, she has a story in the 2010 Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology. In 2011, she came second in Scottish Writers Association’s contest and won the Exeter Writers competition. In 2012 she was shortlisted in Mitchelstown Literary Society’s William Trevor/Elizabeth Bowen competition.
