Synopsis

Biographie de l'auteur

LIS COPLESTONE has worked at a nursery school and also helped to set up Treewise, a playgroup and programme of workshops for families that take place in a local orchard. Her delight in nature and the 'child's-eye view' is evident in her storytelling.

JIM COPLESTONE has worked as a primary school teacher and has led children's workshops in art and nature. These experiences add richness to his lively and colourful pictures. His other works for Frances Lincoln include Seven for a Secret, and the bestselling Two Nests, both written by Laurence Anholt, as well as Animals Aboard and The No-No Bird written by Andrew Fusek Peters. In addition to his illustration work, Jim also creates and exhibits sculpture based on classic children s literature, through Robert James Ltd in Dorset.

Lis and Jim have collaborated on three other picture books, including A Walk In The Wild Woods for Frances Lincoln. They have two children, Ruby and Louis, and live in Dorset
