Présentation de l'éditeur

Close encounters with elephant, buffalo and baboon; not-so-close encounters with lion, cheetah, impala and crocodile; journeys by Landrover through elephant country; by boat and canoe along crocodile-infested rivers past groups of yawning hippo; on foot to see termite mounds, baobab trees and grazing giraffe; flying over the Victoria Falls; fishing in the Zambesi; bitten nearly to death by tsetse fly; catching by chance a leopard dozing, stretched out on a tree branch; campfires and songs; sunsets and sundowners.

Paul Caldwell and his sister enjoy the adventures offered by two-and three-day visits to a series of safari camps in Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Tanzania. They move on from one location to another to experience different terrains, animals and habitats and to savour to the full the immense array of fascinating and diverse wildlife that Africa has to offer. Undaunted by heat, dust, danger and (occasional) physical discomfort, led by experienced and often colourful local guides, they take every opportunity to see, experience and photograph the rich and spectacular living scenery all around them.

Into Africa is the vivid and enthralling story of this safari adventure, recounted with unfailing passion and humour.
