Biographie de l'auteur

On good days, Stella Blackstone lives east of the sun and west of the moon. On less good days, she lives at the bottom of a well. She finds ideas in all of these places and turns them into songs, poems and rhymes. She has read and written poetry for as long as she can remember, and her favourite books include Louis Untermeyer's A Child's Treasury of Poetry, which was a constant companion throughout her childhood, Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist, everything by T.S. Eliot, and William Buck's translation of The Ramayana. She lives in southwest England, and enjoys walking and working in her garden as well as doing nothing whenever she has the chance. Caroline Mockford is the mother of two growing boys. After gaining a degree in Fine Art, she worked as a nursery school teacher, an experience which gave her invaluable insight into how children explore and learn through books. Caroline works mainly in acrylics to achieve the strong and bold colours that are her trademark. Caroline's work with Barefoot Books includes What's This? (2000), The Elephants' Ears (2000) and her beloved Cleo series.

Revue de presse

'A simple rhyme accompanies big and bold pictures that take you on a journey with Cleo in her exploration of colour and colour mixing. They are bright and straightforward yet sensitively portray the gentle cat, her little owner and the warmth of the relationship they share' --Carousel
