Monsignor Denis O Callaghan has long and varied experience in academic and pastoral life over half a century. A former Professor of Moral Theology at St Patrick s College, Maynooth, he is Chairman of Co. Cork VEC, parish priest of Mallow, Co. Cork and Vicar General of the Diocese of Cloyne. He is also a columnist with The Corkman and a popular presenter on County Sound Radio, a local radio station that he also helped to develop. An accomplished writer, his most recent work, Putting Hand to the Plough: A Memoir, was published by Veritas in 2007.
