Synopsis
As far as I knew then, that day was just another day in the march towards old age. Nothing special happened to give me a glimpse into what I was about to experience that same evening. Briefly finding himself out of work in 1992, after working as an airline pilot, Ty felt a certain dissatisfaction with his life that he couldn't quite put his finger on. Then, one night, alone in his flat and unable to sleep, Ty hears a voice telling him to go to church. In the early hours of the morning and in the midst of intermittent power cuts, he leaves his home to do just that, and so begins his life as a Christian. Through this engaging and unusual description of his own experiences, which include finding himself asleep at the altar in the middle of a church service and the miraculous healing of his wife, Ty aims to make the reader aware of the true nature of Christian faith. Guided by the word of God, he explores several revealing dreams and tries to find answers to the challenging questions which result. This is an illuminating and rewarding read for both Christians and non-Christians alike.
