Synopsis

When Mr Young trims the privet bush in his garden, little does he know that four of the clippings come to life and take up residence in his garden! They make a home under the holly bush and have lots of exciting adventures all year long. Join them to find out what they get up to. Who gets kidnapped? What is the strange white stuff that appears one morning in the garden? Who else comes to live close by? This delightful collection of stories is suitable to read aloud together or solo for young readers. A new grandson, Louis, was all the inspiration Barbara Thomson needed to write this children's story. That, and six weeks with both feet in plaster, meaning she was unable to make it to work at the local zoo and she found she had plenty of time on her hands.
