This is the biography of leading Welsh character Dan Jenkins (1856-1946) who achieved a great deal for the newly emerging board schools of the late nineteenth century in terms of curriculum, use of Welsh language, St David's Day as well as publicizing many mid and west Wales activities.
Alan Leech is a former headteacher and educational advisor. He has lived in Ceredigion for twelve years having been born in Lancashire. He attended universities in London, Manchester and Sheffield where he completed a PhD in the history of secondary education.
