I'm Lara Zany and I'm the school expert on how to make and keep friends. But when Emily Wong starts in my class, she's determined to ignore all my well-meaning advice. Not only that, but she seems to be making friends all the same. There's only one way to settle this - Emily and I are going to have a contest to see who is best at taking an ultimate Loser Loner and finding them a true friend. Let the best matchmaker win! Funny and moving in equal measure, this is a delightful new novel from the acclaimed author of Does my Head Look Big in This?.

RANDA ABDEL-FATTAH loves writing - she means LOVES it! She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first book when she was in grade six. It was a complete rip-off of Matilda written by her hero Roald Dahl. It was called Ronald and she even traced Quentin Blake's illustrations (she's sure he would have been very cross to know that). She managed to find her own voice since stealing ideas from Roald Dahl and has written eight books, including Does My Head Look Big in This?, The Friendship Matchmaker and the sequel, The Friendship Matchmaker Goes Undercover. Because she has a big mouth, she is also a lawyer. That means she gets to go to work and collect ideas and inspiration from all kinds of funny and sad people she meets. She lives in Sydney with her husband and two children.
