J C Jeremy Hobson is a freelance writer living in France, but prior to this he was employed in shoot management for over thirty years. Since 1973, he has written regularly for many of the UK's countryside and sporting press and has had numerous books published.

Philip Watts started his working life as a national newspaper sub-editor and then moved into advertising. His successful career as a marketing director led to a desire not just to commission pictures but take them. Love of food - and strong views as to how it should be photographed - generated a keen interest in assimilating pictures designed to inspire cooks to experiment with new dishes and creative ways of present them as mouth-watering 'art on a plate'.
