Julian Owen MBE is a chartered architect with over twenty years' experience of helping families alter their homes. As well as running his own pratice, Julian Owen Associates Architects [www.julianowen.co.uk] in Nottingham, England, he is also chairman of ASBA Architects, the national network of locally based practices that specialize in home alternations. Julian has authored many books on various aspects of house design and construction including two for Crowood, Conservatories [2005] and Kit and Modern Timber Frame Homes [2007].
