MARCUS FAULKNER is currently visiting lecturer in the Department of War Studies, King s College London. His research interests are divided between 20th-century naval and intelligence history, with emphasis on the German navy of the inter-war years and the Second World War. He is the author of a number of academic papers on the Kriegsmarine.
