Synopsis

"Find the Lady" is a the latest collection of short stories by acclaimed writer Tom MacIntyre. Written as a series of 'dreamscapes', many of them are influenced by the writer's vivid dreams and imaginative life, as well as the great mythologies of the classical and Celtic traditions. MacIntyre imagines himself in scenes with great figures of myth and literature in a way that reflects on how writers use myth and history, and the relationship of the general and particular, while his unique talent with language brings each tale alive.

À propos de l?auteur

Tom MacIntyre was born in Cavan in 1931. A dual-languagewriter, he has written six books of poetry as well as many playsfor the Abbey Theatre (Peacock Stage). These include TheGreat Hunger, which toured internationally; Good Evening, MrCollins, and his version of Cuirt An Mhean Oiche/The MidnightCourt. Amongst his short fiction is The Harper's Turn (with anintroduction by Seamus Heaney) and The Word for Yes, Newand Selected Stories. His poetry collections include Fleur-du-Lit, Stories of the Wandering Mohn and ABC: New & SelectedPoems. He is a member of Aosdana, and lives in Co Cavan.
