Both plays premiered in a specially converted space at the national theatre in the summer of 2011.

Prasanna Puwanarajah is a writer and actor and has appeared at the NT in Emperor and Galilean, Hamlet and London Assurance. Tom Basden is a successful stand-up comedian and TV writer. Joseph K, his adaptation of Kafka's The Trial for the Gate Theatre, is published by NHB.
