Synopsis
Poetic and deeply affecting, Robert Holman's beautiful dramatic trilogy is a subtle meditation on the impact of conflict on those at the sidelines. Each of the three plays (Being Friends, Lost and Making Noise Quietly) focuses on the simple humanity that unites us all in times of suffering.
Two men meet in a Kentish field as V2s fly above. In the height of the Falklands War, a mother receives a visitor who brings terrible news. A German businesswoman shelters a fugitive British private and his stepson.

ROBERT HOLMAN is a renowned playwright who has written over twenty works for the stage, which have been hugely influential on a generation of new writers. His most recent work was the critically acclaimed Jonah and Otto at the Royal Exchange Theatre in 2008, with a major retrospective of his work at the same theatre in 2003. Other stage work includes Holes in the Skin (2003) and Bad Weather (1998)
