Synopsis
Frank Grissel is a hard-knuckled PI in 1953 San Francisco, aided by long-suffering secretary/lover Loretta. Grissel's search for a runaway girl winds up with him becoming a suspect in a string of gruesome murders, falling into the arms of a Chinese heiress; reuniting with the daughter he abandoned; losing Loretta to the sadistic 'Colonel'; and, finally to the gender-bending truth.
