À propos de l'auteur

Lawrie Edward Gartside was born in 1943, the younger son of an engineering draughtsman. The family moved from Manchester to the Cheshire coast in 1952, where the author was educated at the local secondary schools. He qualified as a teacher from Nottingham College in 1965 and taught in Wallasey Primary School for almost thirty years. He developed a love of the novels of the Brontes and eventually took early retirement in order to devote himself to writing novels, especially those of an historical and romantic genre. The author loves classical music, reading and Impressionist art.
