Dr Andrew Lambirth is a Principal Lecturer in Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. He taught in primary schools in Peckham and Bermondsey before moving to higher education in 1996. Since then he has published widely in the field of primary English with special interests in children's literature, poetry, the teaching of writing, popular culture and the politics of literacy.
