Through a varied military and IT career, Rory Canavan has advised numerous organisations on the best practices and principles pertaining to software asset management. The right blend of people skills, technical ability, and business and systems analysis, has brought him to a point where the writing of this book was felt a necessity. Rory has worked for the Royal Navy, Compaq, HP, FAST (the Federation Against Software Theft), Trustmarque Solutions and, more recently, Flexera Software.
Rory currently lives in London, with his fiancée, Liz, and their cat, Shoeshine.
