Samuil Marshak (1887-1964) was a russian and soviet writer, translator and children's poet. Vladimir Lebedev (1891-1967) was a russian and soviet painter and graphic artist. Together they collaborated on a ream of beautiful books including Tale About a Foolish Mouse, Book of Many Colours, The Circus and Ice Cream, the latter two of which appear in the collection The Circus and Other Stories published by Tate Publishing in April 2013.
