À propos de l'auteur

Alice Boase's parents, Charles and Aileen Griffin, joined the British Colonial Service in 1901 when Charles started his legal career in Nyasaland (now Malawi). Alice met her husband Arthur Boase, a medical officer, in Uganda and they took posts throughout the world until their retirement from the service in 1956. They spent many years in Uganda, where Alice was a member of the Kampala Municipality and served on the Legislative Council of Uganda.
