He has taught Yiddish Studies at the University of Texas in Austin and general and English linguistics in Hong Kong. He is the author of The Type-token Relation in Linguistics Theory and Linguistics and the Third Reich. Kingsley Bolton is Chair Professor of English and Head of the English Department at City University of Hong Kong.
