Synopsis
This reference book hospital doctors, general practitioners, medical students and paramedical staff provides, in a compact and comprehensive form, the information needed for the correct interpretation and assessment of laboratory tests, both biochemical and haematological. Normal test results - and the causes of any variations from the normal - are reported clearly, thus helping the clinician to reach an accurate diagnosis or, alternatively, to assess the effects of treatment already in progress. The book includes many scales and scores, as well as other methods of investigation, which are all conveniently gathered together within a single volume.
