Synopsis

Lovingly collected and beautifully presented, this rich and diverse treasury of Irish wisdom offers excerpts from distant times to the present day, covering myth, spirituality, literature, politics, and love.

From Ancient Celtic mysticism to the wit of Oscar Wilde; from the power poetry of W. B. Yeats and Seamus Heaney to the political insights of Eamon de Valera, the quotations within these pages open the door to a universe of inspiration and imagination, of folklore and learning.

A perfect anthology for those who want to rediscover their roots, or simply to learn more about the cultural heritage of the Emerald Isle, this collection of sayings, statements, songs, ballads, and aphorisms will uplift the soul and enrich the mind in equal measure.
