Synopsis
This book features rock photography, capturing personalities in the music business. Carly Simon, for example, is pictured in a stark session for "Playing Possum" and Johnny Rotten is shown as angular and awkward. 750 images are included in this collection. Tina Turner, Ray Charles and Willie Nelson are also phootgraphed. Norman Seeff's technique is to plant the subject - however famous - in his plain Los Angeles studio and let the session unfold, cajoling and provoking his subject for as long as it takes for their guard to drop. This retrospective is designed by Seeff himself.
