Amy Scholder is an editor at City Lights Books. She has edited Critical Condition: Women on the Edge of Violence, Memories that Smell like Gasoline by David Wojnarowicz and Jerk by Nayland Blake and Dennis Cooper. She is a performance / literature curator of the Lab gallery in San Francisco.

Ira Silverberg is a literary agent and book publicist. He is a contributing editor to The Portable Lower East Side, a member of the board of directors of BOMB magazine, and co-chairman of the PEN Lesbian and Gay Committee.

Cookie Mueller was a fiction writer, columnist, cult movie star who appeared in several of John Waters' films, and an art critic. She died of Aids in 1989.

David Wojnarowicz is a visual and performance artist and writer. He has exhibited his visual art in galleries worldwide and has collaborated on many films and videos, including Silence=Death. He lives in New York City.

Dennis Cooper is the winner of the Ferro-Grumley Award for Closer, and Guide was a Los Angeles Times bestseller and one of its Ten Best Books of the Year. He lives in Los Angeles.
