Synopsis
In September 2001, Abd Samad Moussaoui?s life was turned over. His younger brother, Zacarias, arrested in the United States in August for a visa violation, was then accused by the US government of involvement in the events of 9/11. The charges against Moussaoui were announced by US Attorney General John Ashcroft, who described the indictment as ?a chronicle of evil?. Moussaoui was charged with ?undergoing the same training, receiving the same funding, and pledging the same commitment to kill Americans as the hijackers?. In this unique book, Abd Samad Moussaoui describes his brother?s upbringing in France in a racist society that only just tolerated him. He tries to understand how, in a five year period, Zacarias went from the Mosques of London to flying schools in Minnesota. For Abd Samad Moussaoui, it has become essential to explain how Wahhabi fundamentalism tries to impose its extreme interpretation of Islam on an unsuspecting congregation; how it corrupts and converts a generation of youth that included his brother into cannon fodder for the jihad.

Abd Samad Moussaoui is a teacher in a technical high school in the south of France. Florence Bouquillat, his co-writer, is a TV journalist at France 2.
