Synopsis
A guidebook to walking the 750km (510 mile) Pyrenean Haute Route (HRP) from Hendaye on the Atlantic coast to Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast. This challenging long-distance trail following the high ridge of the Pyrenees crossing the French-Spanish border is suitable for experienced trekkers and is best experienced late June through early October.
- Presented in 44 graded stages of 8-28km (5-17 miles), five sections are given to allow the route to broken into shorter treks
- 10 classic summit ascents are detailed
- Bad weather variants and alternate stages are given to avoid the most technical sections

À propos de l?auteur
Tom Martens grew up in Belgium and first visited the Pyrenees in 2008 with a friend. This first exploration was so enchanting that he has been back every year since. He has hiked extensively in the national parks and has traversed the whole length of the Pyrenees several times. He also enjoys hiking in Scotland and Estonia, where he currently lives.
