Synopsis

As part of the general move towards accreditation and greater professionalism, practice teachers (supervisors) have to be accredited and undergo some training and practice teaching. Joyce Lishman is Head of the School of Applied Social Studies, Robert Gordon University. She was previously in the Department of Social Work at Aberdeen University, where she edited the Research Highlights in Social Work series.
