Synopsis
A reissue of one of the most famous books on gundog training (first published in 1977 by Popular Dogs). The book is aimed at the roughshooter who wants a useful steady dog to aid him in his sport. It is also useful for the novice trainer attempting to "make" his first gundog. In particular, there are plenty of examples of things going wrong during training, and advice on how to set about correcting them. Chapters include: choice of puppy; early obedience work; retraining; field training; common problems; kennels; glossary of terms.
