Synopsis
This work is the first of four volumes in a series which illustrates the origins, polities, theologies, worship and socio-political aspects of the several nonconformist traditions. The series makes available a selection of texts designed to offer a picture of the nonconformist heritage between the mid-16th century to the present day. The texts include: Acts of Parliament; confessions; theological debates within and between the nonconforming traditions; sermons; liturgies; prayers and hymns.
