This work examines the evolution of law and legal method, and challenges the law's claim to neutrality by examining its role in creating and reproducing inequality between the sexes. À propos de l?auteur

Susan Edwards teaches in the School of Law at the University of Buckingham. She is a prison vistor and is on the Management Committee of CAST, an organisation for women offenders. She was Consultant to the Domestic Violence Working Group of the Metropolitan Police and has been writing in the area of women and the law for fifteen years.
