By describing the history, the background and the current state of affairs, the book also gives guidelines for the future of the printing industry, for designers and for everyone concerned with letters. Erik Spiekermann is a typographer and founder of Metadesign and Fontshop and Manafred Klein and Yvonne Schwemmer-Scheddin are design historians.
