Synopsis
Arguing that psychoanalysis was incomplete, Assagioli began to formulate psychosynthesis in 1910. Psychology, he said, must embrace the soul, the imagination as well as the libido, the complex and the natural instinct. Psychosynthesis is much more than a theory, it is also a practical method that can encompass many of the currently popular approaches to personal growth - meditation, encounter groups, inner-imagery and others. It will be of great help to those who are working towards self-growth and consciousness expansion and psychotherapists who are trying to go beyond the removal of symptoms. The author also wrote "The Act of Will" and "Transpersonal Development".

À propos de l?auteur
Roberto Assagioli was an Italian psychotherapist who developed his theory in the early 1900s, contemporary with Freud, Reich and Jung. Unlike them, he continued refining and developing it up until his death in 1974.
