The subject of Alchemy has fascinated westerners for centuries.
Now in this exciting and radical new book Jay Ramsay takes the ideas at the root of The Alchemical system and develops them into a practical system for personal development. Using the tools of dreaming, meditation and visualisation he brings the ancient tradition to life and gives it a new relevance for the 20th century.

Jay Ramsay is a poet and author of 20 books including ‘Psychic Poetry’, ‘The White Poem’ and ‘Kingdom of the Edge – New and Selected Poems’.
Alchemy is best known as the age old science of turning base metal into gold. But it is much more: essentially, it is a path of self-knowledge, unique in the western tradition, with vital relevance for the modern world. The symbols of alchemy lie deep in the collective unconscious, in the world of dreams and imagery; the practices of alchemy are rooted in an understanding in the oneness of spirit and matter through which we celebrate our sexuality and spirituality.
Jay Ramsay takes us step-by-step through the stages of the alchemical process using a wide range of original exercises to create a memorable journey that challenges, inspires and transforms us at every stage. We too can be Kings and Queens; we too; once we leave are dross behind, are gold.
"Jay Ramsay a lucid, feeling intelligence and a poet's intuitive understanding of images to his study of the alchemical art of transformation which, as Jung insisted, is as important for the future of unconsciousness as for it's past."
LINDSAY CLARKE, author of 'The Chymical Wedding'
"Jay Ramsay has written a luminous and wise guide to the mysteries of soul, and to the images and text of alchemy which explore these mysteries."
ANNE BARING, co-author of 'The Myth of the Goddess'
