Professor A Richard Horrocks is Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Bolton Institute, Bolton UK. His research interests include textile flammability and environmental and recycling technologies. Professor Dennis Price is Chairman of the Fire Chemistry Discussion Group, a sub-group of the Society for Chemical Industry, London, the major forum for the discussion of fire chemistry and related topics. As leader of the Salford Fire Chemistry Research Group he is closely concerned with new research into the fundamentals of flame retardancy.
