Perhaps as a reaction against the growing tide of digital photography, many traditional photographic techniques and processes are enjoying a revival. First and foremost among these are the related skills of toning and hand colouring. In Toning and Hand Colouring Photographs acclaimed photographer and darkroom expert Tony Worobiec takes you step by step through the different processes, examining brand new products as well as long-established ones. Illustrated throughout with Tony's own inspiring photographs, and packed with useful tips and creative ideas, this book contains everything you need to know to tone and colour successfully. Whether your interest lies in selectively colouring a copy of an old family photograph for your scrapbook or in making rich selenium-toned prints of exhibition quality, Toning and Hand Colouring Photographs will bring out the dormant artist in you.
