It focuses on the ways in which records reflect community identity and collective memory, and the implications of capturing, appraising and documenting these core societal elements - with particular focus on the ways in which recent advances in technology can overcome traditional obstacles, as well as how technologies themselves offer possibilities of creating new virtual communities.

À propos de l?auteur

Jeannette A. Bastian is a recently retired Professor from the School of Library and Information Science, Simmons University, Boston, Massachusetts where she directed their Archives Management program. A former Territorial Librarian of the United States Virgin Islands, she holds an MPhil from the University of the West Indies and a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh.
