'I believe that this is a rather special book because it is one mans unique vision of Church that is both rooted in and the fruit of over fifty years of priesthood.' - Willie Walsh I promised I would write this book only if there was a purpose in it. Is it possible that Church and State systems could learn from what is happening at local community level? Based on this idea is it time to articulate a vision or to reimagine an Ireland which an turn to the people their talents and resources for renewal and recovery? Could this be a topic worth considering? The conversation along these lines has already begun. After ordination in 1963, Harry Bohan studied sociology with a view to understanding and interpreting the signs of the times in a changing Ireland. He is recognised as a leading social commentator and has been the driving force behind several practical projects aimed at strengthening family and community , including the Rural Resource Organisation and the Céifin Centre for Values-led Change. He is the local priest for the parish of Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry, and his passion for Clare hurling has never been stronger. With contributions from Willie Walsh, Anthony Daly and Davy Fitzgerald
