The chapters begin with a brief outline of the history of the city and then go on to show how Farrell's diverse and dramatic buildings were developed, from earliest sketches to final construction. Illustrations, plans and sketches show each project in detail, as well as demonstrating the ways in which the architecture responds to its urban context.
