Kay Brainerd Slocum is Gerhold Professor of History and Humanities at Capital University in Ohio. She specializes in the Gothic period and has a particular interest in medieval music. Professor Slocum has written numerous articles and has recently published a book entitled Liturgies in Honor of Thomas Becket (University of Toronto Press).
