If you want to climb the corporate ladder, enter politics or come out on top in the everyday rat race, this book contains stratagems for success. This collection of maxims, taken from Chinese wisdom and passed down over the centuries, remains as fresh and relevant today as ever. Organised by subject area, you will be able to find the right tactic, whatever your situation, at a moment's notice. Part One is divided into stratagems for three goals: strengthening yourself, weakening your opponent and turning difficult situations to your advantage. Part Two deals with common problems such as guilt, fear, greed and pride. Many of the stratagems are particularly useful when fate appears to have turned against you. This book won't get you to heaven, but it will show you where the jugular is and how to go for it!
