Synopsis
The new edition of Guide to the RIBA Forms of Appointment coincides with the 2004 revisions to all of the standard forms and supplements. Offering important, straightforward and up-to-date advice about the application of these standard forms, the Guide has been expanded and reorganised to reflect recent changes and contemporary practice. In particular, the section that explains all the methods of calculating and managing fees and expenses has been significantly expanded and supported by worked examples. The focus is primarily on the 2004 version of the Standard Form of Agreement for the Appointment of an Architect (SFA/99), giving indepth explanations of the architect's role and responsibilities, again supported by worked examples. It also covers the other eight standard forms in the suite (CE/99, SW/99, PS/99, PM/99, SC/99, DB1/99, DB2/99 and the new Access Management Services Supplement).
