À propos de l'auteur
Javier Mar-as was born in Madrid in 1951. He has written nine novels, two volumes of short stories, seven collections of essays, and has been translated into 31 languages. He was recently awarded the Premio Alberto Moravia for his work as a whole. He is a distinguished translator of English authors into Spanish, including Conrad, Stevenson, Hardy and Laurence Sterne. He was formerly lecturer in Spanish Literature the University of Oxford. (2002-10-18)
