Synopsis

Marty Muskrat is a scaredy-rat. He's too scared to ride a bike, he's too scared to climb a tree and he's definitely not brave enough to swing on a rope. When Marty's class goes to Funland Park he knows there's going to be lots of scary rides. What can he do? Then with the help of his friends, Marty discovers that there are only three kinds of scared and that he is brave enough to overcome every one. F.N. Monjo was a prolific author of over 20 children's books. He wrote a first draft of this book just before his death in 1980. His son Justin has re-worked it. Justin Monjo is the co-author of the award-winning play Cloudstreet which played at the National Theatre, London in 2001
